If you like good food, cheap or high-end, and follow the well-known restaurants around the world, you know the restaurant El Bulli in Spain. It is known as the number one restaurant on Earth. Probably not many people (including me) actually get to taste their food but it has always sat at the top of my dream list.
Yesterday, the Executive chef/owner at El Bulli, Ferran Adria, announced that the restaurant will be closed until 2014.
Although he said the restaurant will start again in 2014, I am sad I could not experience his creation at its original stage. If you are super lucky and have actually been there, you experienced a historic and memorable event,... and you will be able to compare how his food evolves in two years.
At least this gives me a few more years to save up enough money to get there... someday.
