New Food Channel

You might have seen the commercial on Food Network about the new 24-hour food television channel or read the article about it in the New York Times.

The new channel is called the "Cooking Channel" and will start on May 31st, 2010. It is actually an expansion of the Food Network and also a replacement for the current Fine Living Network.

I am tired of all the shows on Food Network and I have started watching other channels like PBS's Create Channel which offers better content than Food Network's repetitive gabfest. So it is great news to me that there will be more variety of shows available soon. I am especially happy to learn that the new channel will include some imported shows from the Canadian Food Network which I loved and watched on BBC Food all the time while I was in abroad. My favorite, "David Rocco's Dolce Vita," will be one of them. Be sure to give it a try.
