VOLT revisited

We went back to VOLT in Fredrick, Maryland again - this time with my mother-in-law. All the dishes we tasted were not only beautiful as you can see but also very delicate and an excuiste balance of flavors. I am still dreaming of the shiitake mushroom velouté with pinenuts sabayon. They keep the restaurant week's price for the pre-fix three course lunch menu for $20.09. No kidding. The visit only confirmed that Volt remains at the top of our DC restaurant list. Oh! And this time we got to meet Chef Bryan. The service was phenomenal. We tried to book Table 21 (a special table in the kitchen at Volt) but nothing is available until next June!
