Chicken Stock for Dogs


  • chicken bones from one whole chicken
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1/2 fennel bulb

Cooking Directions

  1. Put the bones from a whole chicken into a large stock pot and cover with water completely. Add all the vegetables (do not use onions. Onions are poisonous for dogs). Bring to a boil and then turn down the heat and simmer it for 1 hour to 1-1/2 hours until the liquid is reduced to half.

  2. Remove the bones and vegetables and then strain the stock into a clean bowl. Save the vegetables and chop them into small pieces.
